A pocket watch at a reasonable price a little disappointed at the quality it looks cheap, however it seems to keep good time.

I selected this watch because it looked smart and appeared to be robust in finish. I was glad to see it was made of stainless steel, rather than silver plate. Seeing the actual watch, rather than just a photo, I am equally impressed with it, and am sure that it will serve me well.

Ordered 4 pocket watches for my wedding groomsmen because I wanted something classic and timeless and these pocket watches are perfect.
The look and feel is high quality yet they were very reasonably priced.
They have the classic hunter style cover with s window so the watch face can be seen easily. Battery powered which is more practical. And a lovely clear back ideal for engraving some words of thanks. A really good product and really fast delivery service.

I fell in love with this watch as soon as I got it. Its very sleek and looks sophisticated, and its got a nice weight to it when you hold it in your hand. The chain is quite slender and looks more like a rope than a chain, but it suits the clock well and it doesnt look tacky or cheap. This clock is a winner!

Very pleased with the watches which were bought for grooms party. The watch itself is very stylish and good value and the back is ideal for engraving. A minor gripe is that the chain is a bit disappointing but that could be down to personal choice.

The front window closes with a firm click. It is keeping very good time.Only criticism is it is not easy to remove the chain if you want to fit a different one. Brilliant watch at a very good price. Delivery was made extremely quickly and the watch arrived well packed. The half hunter style is excellent as it allows for a quick time check through the small front window while allowing for a more leasurely examination when the front is opened. Quartz movement is also an improvement on these watches as no longer is there a need to remember to wind it up.

Loved the Sekonda pocket watch I ordered as a wedding present for my new husband. Beautifully designed, with a smooth plain back - perfect for engraving, he was thrilled with his present. The only change I would make would be for it to be fitted with a proper chain and safety clip instead of the hook and snake chain provided.

For the price we are pleased with this. We bought it for a 15 year old who is nurturing a certain image ~ he will love it. Too early to talk about reliability as a watch, but all seems fine so far. The box insert is a little cheap and does not really match the gift inside, so suggest you buy tissue paper!

Ideal pocket watch to give as a gift. The good make of sekonda swayed the purchase for me and up to now is keeping excellent time. I like the patterning on the front and the clear beautiful plain back ideal for engraving for special occasions such as our sons wedding. I purchased one for my husband and one for our son its this next Friday so fingers crossed that the watches will look stunning against their black three piece suits. A little bit lighter than I expected but perfectly acceptable for the price.

The product itself was what I expected and very pleasing to the eye. The down side of the watch was the presentation box itself.too smallThe watch was silver in colour with a white face with black numerals and encased in silvercoloured material
Overall the watch was value for money and will make a nice birthday gift.
Mabye consider engraving the item to make it more personel, I realise this would an add on.

This pocket watch is all that I expected and more. It is very reasonably priced for an every day watch. I wantred a half hunted so that the catch would not get over used resulting in it failing. The watch is stylish and the machine turned detail adds to its looks. the dail face is easy to see therefore easy to see the time.

Watch is fine. Disappointing that the seller refuses to advise how the back comes off to replace the battery. This is not in the instructions that come with the pocketwatch. All I was told was to take it to a professional watch repairer to get the battery changed which is hardly satisfactory. I am not a child and if I choose to change it myself and risk damaging the watch that is my risk.

I am very pleased with this pocket watch. Time will tell about its reliability but the watch face is excellent - clear and traditional. I bought it because I dislike, as I celebrate Mass, elevating the Host, an eternal symbol, and revealing a second by second time keeper on my wrist! With the time in my pocket I feel more apprpriate. The shiny back acts as a mirror to make sure my appearance is correct as I emerge from the vestry! I would have wished that the watch cover was less ornate but, as a half-hunter, the time can be seen when it is closed. I have had gold pocket watches and not used them much. This will be my friend and companion for many years, I hope. The price seems very reasonable too. I did not wish to spend more than £40, I recommend it.

The watch has a simple white face, and a delicate patten on the inside and outside of the half-hunter case, and the time can easily be read when the case is closed.
Things I like about it: it is an inexpensive yet stylish watch. Before it came to me I was concerned that it might look cheap and tacky, but when it arrived I was pleasently surprised to find that it actually looks very valuable.
Things that I don't like about it: the chain is a little heavy but that is easily rectifiable, since it can be replaced. Also, the catch is a little stiff, and if pressure isn't directly over the catch while closing the lid then the mechanism can get stuck, meaning that you have to flick it back into place.
But all in all I like this watch very much, I just hope my boyfriend will like it equally so!

Many years ago I regularly repaired watches as a hobby and today I still carry out a few repairs as well as replacing batteries. Sekonda have always impressed me for value and I've noticed that the movements they use often turn up in much more expensive brands. Don't be concerned about the movement in this inexpensive watch - it'll be fine. So what about the case? Truly amazing quality with an elegant beauty. Being a half-hunter the hands are visible with the lid shut and the glass permits enough of the hands to be seen to easily tell the time. The lid fits perfectly - this is often a weak point in hunters - and there is no lash in the hinge. The lid pops open with a press of the crown to reveal a truly stunning dial and hands. Very nice indeed. As a bonus the watch comes with a snake chain and clip which seam to be of good quality but do be careful with snake chains, they can kink if badly treated. Overall great value for money and highly recommended.

The watch looks amazing, much more expensive than it was, I'm really impressed. The gift box itself was for an ordinary bracelet style watch however so I may have to buy a separate box. However I don't mind because I feel like I've saved a lot of money on such an expensive looking watch, from a good watch-makers too. I'm getting it engraved as a 30th birthday present and I think everyone will be impressed with it.

Amazing value to find a pocket watch at this price. Initially I was concerned that it may look cheap when it arrived, so was pleasantly surprised on opening th box.

The watch opens really smoothly to reveal a large clear white face with roman numerals, that is easy to read.

The inside case has a neat concentric circle pattern on it and looks really good.

THe back is plain and the fronthas etched roman numerals, which means you can tell the time without opening the case although some numerals (those with two and three digits are slightly closer together and aestehtically a little unbalanced.

The chain is a simple snake chain, which I have replaced with something a little heavier as it was a little light for my taste.

I bought as a first purchase yto see if I liked a pocket watch and this is an excellent purchase and now am now converted.

Would reccomend as a first pocket watch without hesitation.

This watch is ideal.

It is robust so that I can keep it in my trouser pocket. I can see the general time without opening it but it is quite smart when I open it to see the correct time.
