An excellent watch for everyday wear as was the previous one. Its definitely a negative point when Casio advertise the watch as having a ten year battery life, but the strap falls apart after 2 years and there appear to be no replacement straps available, or none that can be fitted to my previous watch. Hopefully this one will be better.

I purchased this watch as I needed a watch that I could wear that wasn't going to scratch/hurt my new born son. I needed to be easy to see, waterproof and made of rubber/resin. This watch ticked all the boxes, it does what I need it to do, the light is handy and the 10yr battery life! To be honest I probably wear it more than my more expensive Citizen watch now!
Great watch and will be using for travel. However think it is a real shame Casio don’t do any equivalent watches for females!! This was the only Casio with such a good tough spec. I have very small wrists though so is quite bulky for me and have to have it on the tightest setting meaning the strap is too long. Make a women’s or unisex version! Women need tough watches too. But watch itself seems great.

I wanted an inexpensive but serviceable and accurate watch. I find that the Casio watches fit the bill but do not attract unwanted attention. I can wear such a watch whilst working or playing. I want a watch that will give me time without attracting the attention of anyone else.

Have had Casio watches before and they have proved to be reliable and accurate. I bought this as a replacement for a much loved Casio with similar functions for my husband; he was unable to replace the broken strap because he had lost the pin. It had done several years good service worn and I am hopeful this one will do too.

I bought this watch to replace a similar one which my husband had worn daily for over 10 years. He has a large wrist and so is difficult to get things to fit. My request for a long strap was heard and it fits beautifully better than the old one. he is delighted with it and therefore so am I. The previous ones casing was a mixture of steel and plastic and was a little bit better looking. He uses the stop watch facility for when he does his regular walk to check on his speed. we rely on the dual time feature when abroad as it saves altering the normal time each trip and the alarm is used when away from home. with all these features it is still not chunky so wearing under a shirt cuff is no problem.
Hope it lasts as long as previous one.

This is the third of these watches that Ive owned and each one has amazed me with its simplicity. Its cheap, reliable and the best type of watch to wear when traveling to remote parts of the world. Live simply I say, you do not need an expensive super watch to tell the time.

I bought this watch primarily for swimming on holiday as well as for hiking but Ive also always been a fan of the retro style of Casio watches. Ive bee wearing it a lot in the lead up to my holiday and Im honestly most likely going to keep wearing it as my primary watch. The display is clear and tells you what you need to know including the day and date. There is an alarm function if you feel so inclined as well as a function to set an alternate timezone which you can switch to planning to use this on holiday. The backlight works well in low light conditions.
Overall it is a very comfortable watch and seems very durable. My only minor issue with it is that it displays the date in american format month then day. Ive done some research and it seems like this isnt something that can be changed in the settings. Saying that it is a minor issue and it is not something that detracts from what is a great functional watch.

This watch is excellent.This must be my 5th. Bvut the strap is a weak link. It splits at the point where the catch goes through a hole. As a replacement strap costs nearly as much as a new watch, its better to get a new watch.

I wanted a budget price watch with a few extras such as alarm, stopwatch and dual time, and that was water proof and light weight to wear everyday. This watch does exactly that. There is no countdown timer, which I already knew from the great description, so yes very happy with my purchase.

Bought this watch for cycling. I love the large display and that I can time my self with the stop watch on long rides It will record up to 23 hrs 59 mins the and still see the time of day. I can confirm that the stopwatch doesnt get switched off by mistake as on some other models. I also wake up to the alarm every morning. Fits my skinny wrist fine and is very stylish. Only fault is glass stands proud of case and may get scratched although I believe it is mineral glass. Accuracy about 1 second a week gain. Overall opinion is a fab watch.

My husband had a birthday and he needed a new every day watch. He is delighted with the Casio mens sports watch.
This review is regarding a order that i place was a mens gucci watch order id: 3045524 and when i recieved the order i found that it was seem to be used or returned by a customer which i had recieved as there was no stickers or shrink wrap on the watch so i called in and reported the matter to a employee called mariam she advised me to send it back or pop in to goldsmiths where i usually shop because of work i could not do this as dont have much time during lunch my closest one is canary wharf and its quite busy at lunchtimes and so i told my wife to send it back for me through the post office as the Watchshop collegue advised me to doand put a note aswell . Now upon receiving the watch at watchshop they say there is one scratch due to that i get no refund or replacement but that is why i called in to report the matter as soon as i got the chance to tell them this matters that the watch deos not seem new seems some sort used.and then when they had received the item back the collegue at Watchshop tells me there is one scratch and they wont replace or refund the item i dont mind getting a new one aslong as it is new which i had paid for. I was utterly dissapointed with the service and the fact that i followed all the procedure and report the problem now they say the scratch is my responsibility and at the time i didnt even look for any scratches or report any as i got annoyed that it seemed like a returned watch from another customer . I usually buy watches from goldsmiths as i was busy with work i placed a order that i would later regret. I will be going to goldsmiths from now on where i usually buy all my watches and have learnt my lesson never again. Many thanks for listening.

Just what I wanted to replace a Casio watch I have had for eleven years and the battery which I don't think can be replaced is nearly flat.

In dual time mode both times are displayed simultaneously, which was not absolutely clear from the description but was what I wanted. The main display shows day, date, month and year at all times which you would have to be quite disorientated to need.

Simple to operate digital watch with all the most commonly used functions. I particularly like the larger than usual numbers and letters on the silver background which makes the watch so easy to read. The 10 year battery is definitely another plus point, my only concern about the watch being whether the resin wristband will last that long.

A nice slim, easy to read, 100m waterproof Casio watch, not like some of their thick, ugly more recent designs. The one thing I need, and cannot find on a Casio watch like this is a countdown timer. Why have CASIO removed this functionality? It used to be pretty standard.

The watch is is exactly what I needed and got due to the accurate description of the watch on the website. Ive had it for two weeks and it works perfectly, although I am yet to test it underwater. The alarm, and stopwatch function also work brilliantly and to be honest, I cant fault the watch so far. This is aided by the fact that the watch is easy to use and despite the large instruction booklet that comes with the watch, it is not needed as working out how to get the best from the watch is straightforward once you have a play around with it for 5 minutes or so!
Like all casio watches this watch is very good quality, feels comfortable and looks modern. Although the watch is quite large and bulky it still looks good.

Perfect for a cheap waterproof sports watch. thin, light, very clear and easy to see and use when running, cycling, swimming, surfing, gardening etc. Just set the time and you are away.
At £17 you are not going to be too concerned about protecting it when doing any physical activity, or leaving it under a towel on the beach, unlike more expensive watches when you can feel inhibited.
A great no-nonsense, cheap digital watch that is a nice size. It sits comfortably under a shirt cuff and is perfect for swimming after work. I find it nice to go to the complete cheap end for a watch sometimes as you get plenty of functionality for your money and there is absolutely no sign of pretentiousness. The watch is light and comfortable to wear day in day out. The only downside would be that the light function only lasts for 2 seconds after it is pressed, this makes telling the time through tired eyes in the middle of the night not so easy this is a minor gripe though. In short a great watch that will last a long time and wont leave you too disappointed if you leave it somewhere.

I am now took this excellent Casio twin-digital watch from Your excellent watchshop, because the nice white/silver/metal dual Casio which I received yesterday, was too small for my wrest, and for my old eyes- without my glases, but it is very good present for my 17y. son, who can see all on this small watch face- without glases! We both don`t want moore to take phone every time from pocket, when we need to know right time, and my choice now is this PERFECT digital watch model- it is not only watch with dual time, chronograph, 2/3-of-date, and read-able, till dark, watch face, but also with full date and back-light option for dark time! This is amazing multi-funnctional watch with very clear read-able- big 4 -hour&minute digits + mid.size 2 -second`s digits + 8litle- date digits + 3mid.size day signs, without any un-needed rings&forms&colour combinations&writnings&un-simetric lines&angles... And this wonderfull Casio price is very, very good, and if also strap will last also moore than 9 years- it is better than take new-fresh-without scratches of this clear&clever model of Casio!

The watch joins two others which are exactly the same. These are terrific, they keep great time and have an alarm and stop watch facilities which are useful. For me as an insomniac the little light which comes on for a few seconds at the press of a button is invaluable just as it is in poor light conditions. In the dark one can always see the time. Other watch makers should take note of this excellent design feature.
Why do I have three - well I have lent two to friends when their watches have packed up whilst they are repaired and they are now converts and returned them when they bought the self same watch for themselves. It says a lot for the Casio

This watch is great. Its got just what I need, time, alarm, stopwatch, and dual time. The screen screen is really clear rather than some watches where you think ok thats nice but whats the time? It also got the day MON, TUE, WED etc. and on the bottom has the date in full. Also a 10 year battery and 100m water resistant. Not bad for less than £20. Ill definitely think of it for birthdays and Christmas presents having owned one now....... P.S. forgot to mention the green light lighting the whole screen in the dark.

This watch has a clear display of day, date, and time, and it is extremely easy to adjust with each of the 4 keys labeled with its function. The only criticism I have is that it is a little bulky for me, but then I am used to slim watches.

I love my Casio watch. It has a light so that I can see the time in the dark it is also water resistant to 100m. Where I previously lived I had no problem replacing the strap but in Chichester no one seems to want to know. Looking at the price of a new strap and soon a new battery though they do last a heck of a long time The total was not far off the price of a new watch. It arrived well packed very quickly and I am a happy bunny again.

I find it is a very reliable watch and so comfortable you forget youre wearing it. It keeps excellent time and I use the stop watch and alarm regularly and rely heavily on the calendar/Day & Date display. This replaces and earlier, but, similar model that gave me good service for many years - Ive lost count of when I bought it, but in excess of ten years and that had no faults until it recently succumbed to the rough treatment it received.

Casio is a brand that never lets you down unless the battery runs out. My previous one did and so I went for an inexpensive but accurate-on-time- keeping replacement, rather than go hunting for a dealer to supply a new battery. This is a very inexpensive, nice size, comfortable to wear watch whose timekeeping to date has been first class. I check with the speaking clock! 100m water resistant is important if you like swimming and of course keeping it on in the bath or shower. A real bargain.
I purchased this product as a spare birthday present as I always seem to forget them and get caught out at the last minute. I thought that this was a very good every day watch which would suit most men, I was very pleased the overall look of the watch and the boxing and the price, excellent.
Watch was delivered very quiickly and in perfect condition. I have had 2 of these watches before over a period of 20 years ! so I know that I was getting a quality product at a competitive price. Still is a comfortable watch to wear with clear, easy to understand display.

I like this watch. No problems, fast processing and delivery. Good cheap, durable watch with an easy to read face. Lights up great and is also very readable in the dark. I bought it for work. It is perfect for that purpose.
This casio retro digital watch with back light, was a great price @ just over £15... exactly what I wanted for the gym...Easy to work & understand the initial set up...The only downside is the resin strap...would of preferred leather.

It is nothing short of amazing that for less than £20 I can have something on my wrist that keeps time to an accuracy of +- 1 second per day, tells me the full date, has a multifunction alarm, dual time and chronograph with 1 hundredth of a second divisions! Not only that, but the appearance and quality is worth much more than the price. It wouldnt even be fair to say that this watch is all about function and not style I love the retro look and there is a certain nostalgia to the watch it takes me back to being 10 years old when I got my first Casio - I love it just as much now as I did then. If I had to be really picky and suggest some improvements I would suggest automatic adjustment for daylight savings BST/GMT and it would be cooler if the backlight illumination was a blue colour rather than green as this would then match the thin blue border. Overall 9.5/10

I bought this as a present for my boyfriend,he absoloutely loves it! He works as a personal trainer so he finds the stopwatch very useful! It looks good as well so much so that ive ordered myself one in silver

I think this is going to be a great watch. I want it for work, tree surgery, gardening, landscaping, so I wanted it to be robust, waterproof and easy to read. So far it seems to be all of these things. A very reasonable price as well.

The product was / is cheap and cheerful. It looks just fine. Fits just fine. Is waterproof handy. Does just what I want it to. Just 2 things I would like to see improved slightly -- Due to my failing eyesight, it would have been nice if the digits were slightly larger, and I would have liked the backlight to stay illuminated just a little longer than the 1 second it currently does. Other than that, Im quite happy with the purchase
Brilliant watch for the price. I use it surfing and it does everything you need apart from tide. And if you planned on going surfing then you would have checked the forecast and tide before anyway!! Display is large and extremely clear in the water, even in bright sunlight. Its low profile makes it ideal for fitting under a wetsuit.
Cannot think why I spent 250 pounds on a watch when this one does everything the expensive one does for fifteen quid and it is more comfortable to wear AND if other Casinos I have had are anything to go by, more reliable too.

Simple digital watch, easy to use and has a clear to read display particularly if you need a stop watch.
Note there is no count down timer and the Alarm is pretty useless, too quiet, but then thats not what I bought it for.

I have always liked digital watches and for £15.50 this is a stunner. All the functions anyone could possibly want and at the price it makes more sense to buy a new one when the battery runs out - after 10 years. Previous watch was abused for ten years almost to the day when the display froze. I was amazed to find I could still buy the same model.
The only point against is the strap breaks after 3 years and a replacement is almost as dear as a new watch.
I bought this watch as my previous Casio had finally given out on me - it was a slightly smaller digital watch but had fairly similar features to the new one.
Delivery was exceptionally quick, and the product arrived well packaged for transport. The watch itself is great a few minutes to get your head round how it all works then youre away. A feature I really like is that instead of setting just the day/date, you set the year/date and it calculates the day for you, along with taking leap years into account - very handy!
The stopwatch is good, as is the alarm easily audible. I also like the ability to set times for two different time zones when travelling the second time zone is displayed much smaller when in the DT screen. This makes it easy to both get used to local time, but also to know when it is acceptable to call home - not waking people up at one in the morning.
The watch is certainly waterproof for most peoples needs, I have worn it in the shower and swimming to no ill-effect.
My only criticism is of the light. Rather than coming on and illuminating the whole screen from behind as my old watch dig electro luminescence, this watch has a light in one corner that turns on for about 2 seconds when the button is pressed. In the dark, it is not as easy to read as my old watch was, and 2 seconds is sometimes not long enough.
Overall, I am very pleased with the purchase. You certainly get a lot of bang for your buck, and provided you arent too style concious, this is the perfect everyday watch.
This is an inexpensive watch that does what says on the tin. Looks good on wrist, is now worn in the gym and in the pool afterwards. The watch fits the wrist comfortably and has a super clear face.
After old watch broke, decided to buy something fairly cheap and retro after some research on tinterweb. Chose this because it really does remind me of the eighties.First thought the instructions were complicated, but not so. Easy to set up, weighs next to nothing, and is comfortable to wear. 100% pleased with it.
Like all Casio watches,this is a superb watch.It keeps perfect time,forget the 30 secs a month they claim - Casio watches are much more accurate than that - this one is spot on,has a good display,and features.I have not been swimming in it yet,but I used to have a 50 metre watch which was completely waterproof,this is to replace that,so I have no doubt this one will not leak.

Watch is lighter than expected. Clear and easily read display. Comfortable strap but I understand from other reviews this may only last a couple of years. I still consider the watch to be very good value. I swim regularly and can wear this watch in the pool to time my lengths. Very pleased.

Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by this watch. The display is very easy to read, the settings/functions are easy to get your head round, it is water resistant to the point where I can use it for swimming/jogging as I had hoped, and the light is pretty good (although it only goes on for an instant after you press the button). I also like the metal back of the watch housing itself, a little thing but it sits nicely on my wrist.
On the downsides - the alarm is quite quiet. I am admittedly quite a deep sleeper, but where my phone alarm always wakes me up, when I tried the watch alarm it didnt. Also, the strap/buckle doesnt seem great quality. It is a bit of a fiddle to undo, and I can see how it might break after long-term wear and tear.
Weighing both sides of the story, when I bought this watch I wasnt expecting luxury, rather something I can wear for sports and as a casual every day watch. Yes it has a couple of snags, but especially at this price it more than does everything I expected of it.
The Casio W-800H is a brilliant watch.
I bought it as a replacement for the identical watch which has kept faultless time for some years and has only needed to be replaced because I broke the watchstrap when yachting.
I shows all date and time information, is illuminated and waterproof. I always swim wearing the watch. Time is easily changed when travelling.
As a means of keeping accurate time it is difficult to see how this watch could be bettered. At a considerably higher price it would remain a bargain.

Large easily read display of data. I liked the all black colour of the watch and strap. I also liked the dual time feature as you can set it to any time zone without changing the main display - very useful. The alarm featureis good and reliable.
The one thing I did not like was the length of the watch strap. It was 24mm longer than a previous watch that I had bought. I do not know if I will get use to it!!
