I think this watch is excellent as it has so many functions--stopwatch/date/alarm/nightlight, quite apart from being MORE accurate than two Rolexes I have had which were nothing but trouble--both given to me and now both given to other family members as they cost so much to service--at £19 this digital. watch is a fraction of what a single Rolex service costs and even then neither watch--both manual winding without dates- kept exact time. This is my third Casio watch of this type--they last about three to four years before the buttons fail which is very good value It is also not prone to damage if dropped or banged as it is sturdy.The metal strap is easily adjustable too.
This is a very good reliable watch --I have had three which all last several years and do everything you need-date /alarm /nightlight/stopwatch etc--only £19.00 and better than the two Rolexes I have!!!!

I was concerned about the strap at first, it came undone a few times. it's all a matter of becoming used to it - I am used to a leather strap. 4 weeks later - I would opt for a leather strap, however the watch strap is easy to adjust yourself if needs be (check youtube if you need assistance). The illuminator was a deciding factor to my purchase - sadly, it's rubbish and should not be advertised as a feature. I marked the 'good' rating because there wasn't an 'ok' rating.

Not quite what it said on the tin! This watch was shown as having a stainless steel case but turned out to be plastic and not quite what I wanted as my last Casio is a resin case and after several years is badly worn.

I have had one of these watches for very many years and am still delighted with it but it is looking a bit worn now so I was very pleased to see the A163WA-1QES was still availiable and purchased it for best wear. It has everything I want, digital display to the second, back light, waterproof, alarm and stop watch all working with ease and reliability. What more could you want from a watch?

This was a replacement for an identical watch which has worked perfectly for many years but was showing signs of wear to the case finish. I was very pleased to get it and expect it to last for many years ahead.

The watch was bought for a practical and stylish watch whilst I work (Gas Engineer) I am able to time when I'm doing my gas tests and get my hands into boilers without the watch catching on anything too much. But if the watch was to get in the way it has a unique unlocking and locking function which makes it very easy to remove.
The watch itself is quality, stylish, genuine, a perfect size and very practical for every day use by both genders. The watch has a long life expectancy as you would expect by casio so it's always nice to buy the real deal instead of some fake rip off.

Basic, yet sharp and classy. Looks smart with a Jumper or long-sleeved shirt. At first I felt the watch was too small, but I think this was all down to me comparing it to my Citizen. I wear this watch to work most days now, and for the price I can make no complaints.

Classic CASIO retro LCD watch like I had back in the 80s - 90s. Stainless steel strap and backplate, water resistant. I think the original Casio had a solid aluminium body - this has a plastic body looking like metal, which was a little disappointing, but at this price there is no real complaint.

The Casio Classic A163WA-1QES watch is very good value for money and is a great looking watch. Unfortunately I have had to return mine because the strap is small for my wrist and they cant increase its length any more.

I love this watch, and lets face it, for the price you cant go wrong. Its got the self adjustable strap which really makes it easy to fit to any size of wrist. The alarm is loud enough and accurate. The strap style is sleek and very lightweight. You dont even know you are wearing a watch its that light! The only downside I think is that the light is very dim but...you can still see the time at night using it so it does its job anyway.
I would reccomend this watch to both men and women.

The watch is absolutely fantastic. It was a present for my boyfriends 21st and he loved it. The gift wrap was exquisite and the product arrived promptly.
i was really enthusiased about having this watch, but the truth is that the bracelet is too tight, and i had to go to a shop to adjust it to my wrist. Even after adjusting the watch, i cannot do it by my own, because the part of the bracelet which opens and closes is too tight, in order to open it and seems really difficult to close it...not difficult...i couldnt do it not even once
now i am wearing it, but every time i want to adjust it, i have to search for a watches shop or else try to keep all the parts together, in order not to lose them and then try again etc etc etc...this is quite a disturbance all the time

Ive been wearing Casio watches for years and i keep coming back. Ive chosen the steel case for the more robust strap the plastic ones seemed to snap after about 18 months and BLING factor.
Too light needs more weight to it. Feels like paper on the hand. Better to make it more solid
The first time I bought a Casio watch it was a charity expedition deep into the Indonesian rain forest. I needed a sturdy watch that was waterproof and pretty much indestructible - I ended up buying the plastic version of this watch and it lasted me two incredible years, it even went diving with me 20m! So this watch had some pretty big shoes to fill, but it hasnt disappointed! I use it for a work watch, its well made and doesnt feel like it will break any time soon. The alarm and stopwatch settings are incredibly useful. The watch itself looks nice - I mean it is what it is, its not a £250 rotary, its a good looking Casio watch that you can use for a number of purposes. It has both the current date and the day, both are useful when like me you sometimes lose track. The watch is easy to set up, you can use it in either the 24 hour setting or the 12 hour setting, whichever you prefer. The back light is good, its not a torch but you can certainly tell the time at night which is what its there for. All in all, a great watch that will last me long time and it may even get a few compliments!
Really happy with this watch, I like the fact that it has a good quality metal adjustable strap, I normally struggle to get a metal strap to fit my wrist. Its a basic watch that has an alarm and a back light. thats exactly what I wanted in a watch so does the job nicely.
The watch is lightweight and slim enough not to catch on clothing, or dangle heavily on the wrist. The multi-functions are reasonably accurate, easily selected and viewed on screen, but not easily seen in bright sunlight. The degree of water-resistance from the internal seals, will hopefully make it sufficiently dust-proof as well as shower-proof. The glass/plastic face can scratch fairly easily and cannot be renewed if it should crack.
It is reliable and cheap enough for use as a work watch in construction. My last Casio was more sturdy, with a thicker case and strap and lasted 15 years approximately.

Looks good on your wrist and is reasonably priced. Bought it for waring to work but would also wear it to go out in the evening. Will take it on holiday as if gets lost or stolen you have not lost a lot and can afford to get a new one.

Turns out its the new fashion...needed a new watch work in both an industrial and casual environment so wanted something cool, reasonable durable, but at a cost where no years would be shed if damaged, or dollys thrown out of the pram.
Many people have commented on saying it was cool and that they where coming back in style wasnt my aim but Im no hipster so thats cool there nice watchs.

This is an absolutely stunning watch, its durable and very handy in yh workplace, not only does it clearly display the time but also allows one to walk through secuirty without having to take it off while passing through x-ray machines, every second counts when having to strip valuables and putting it in trays, the watch has a unique design which stands out its so simple yet outstanding and it is Casio brand which has a phenomenal reputation for long life.
Excellent Product, quality finish and lightweight and just the perfect size. The light is not so bright in the dark and does make it difficult to actually see the time. The watch itself has a very retro classical look that will fit in todays society. It has a hard wearning stainless steel bracelet and chrome like finish on the outside of the watch.

I have had this watch for a few weeks now. It is very durable and looks amazing. I have a tiny wrist and still fits due to the amazing design. It goes with most outfits and is waterproof. On the other hand, there are a few scratches on the face and gets some marks on the inside of the band. Overall great watch and cheap price.

I love the product, as I have had a smaller casio watch before and I find that they are very versatile and go with everything. I wanted to try out the larger version, and I love it!! I think its great how it has the date on it as well as the time as Im always looking down at my other watches to see the date and it never displays it. Overall, I think the condition it came in, and how nice the watch it is great. Very easy to adjust as well to how big and small your wrists are. And even though this is a male watch, I think it suits females just as much.

This is the best watch I have ever bought! I needed an intelligent watch that knows how many days are in each month & understands leap years, etc. so it ALWAYS shows the right date! Also of great importance to me it the slimline design and very Light Weight - ONLY 44 grams!!! as I am not comfortable wearing chunky, heavy watches - which may be trendy, but not for me. I used to have an identical watch from approx 5 years ago, so was delighted to see I could purchase the very SAME model from here! Happy customer!!!

Wasnt happy when the watch arrived as the strap does not lock into place properly. Wasnt able to return due to moving from NI to Scotland the day after the watch arrived
Great watch made by Casio, money well worth spending, nice casual watch for all uses.
What I liked about the watch is that It is very easy to use although what I didnt like was that whenever it is dropped it leaves mark very easily.
I am pleased with the watch, as I always am w.hen it is a CasioI.

If you want a decent looking watch that quietly just does its job, is neat, practical and doesnt snag on anything, survives the gardening and the tinkering in the garden shed, with a timer to remind you about the boiling potatoes back in the kitchen, and which still looks good enough to wear out and about, this is amazing value.

One of the cheapest Casio LCD square watches. A lot smaller than I expected, but better for it. Stainless steel self adjusting strap is much easier to get to the right length without having to remove difficult pin clips as per normal straps.
The only bad thing is that the back light is next to useless. Still for the price I cant complain, cos its comfortable, light and elegant.

The watch is nice & light on my wrist, hardly notice its there. Bought for wearing to work & daily use, plus for wearing through the day on my upcoming holiday. Sturdy design. Only negative I can say is the backlight isnt very bright at night, but I dont intend wearing it out on a nighttime anyway.

I brought this watch for my husband to wear for work. He had always liked this type of Casio watch and for a long time have searched for a replacement until I saw the Watch Shop advert. As the description says, it is a classic watch which meets every need. The main factor is the price because of the nature of my husbands job, he doesnt have to worry about marking it or damaging it as long as it works.
This watch looks good, is easy to read, with good lighting and clear alarm. It was a birthday gift and much admired. However, it was hard to get the fastening to work and stay closed effectively. Unfortunately it was not very secure and the watch was lost the second day it was worn. Had this not been a problem the watch was great so it is hard to offer a rating - may still buy a replacement.

Great watch. If you are after a chrono, I feel digital is the way to go... the hands on an analogue watch cover the smaller timing dials. Would be fantastic if casio did a larger version of this classic warch.. Hint!

This is a very sleek and retro looking watch, with a good quality strap, but a bit of a strange clasp, which takes a while to get used to but is quite useful. For the money its a great looking watch, and I recommend it.

I was very pleased with the quick delivery of my Casio Watch. The watch is a silver alarm chronograph with a linked easy clip-on strap with a retro design face, its easy to use and very durable. Bought this for my husband as a second watch to wear to work, hes really please with it, could be quite tight for a man with large wrists, the clasp sometimes seems quite loose, but he doesnt think the watch will come off when the clasp loosens, overall for the money its a great buy. Looks good on him too.

This watch is comfortable to wear, very light, you hardly know its there. I find the display of the day, the date and the time clear and very quick and easy to read. I prefer the 24hr display but the am/pm option is good too. Ive been surprised by how comfortable the metal strap is, it is at least as comfortable as the plastic one I had before.

This watch replaces an identical one Ive had for the last 4 years. It has kept very accurate time, despite being very inexpensive, and is light and easy on the eye. Being worn continuously in all conditions its only failing has been the slow erosion of chrome on the edges of the watch body, hence its replacement.

I've been buying Casio digital watches for years now. I like them cheap because I tend to abuse them. But these work well and still last years. I like the alarm and stopwatch features, but would also like the countdown timer feature which my first one had. The steel strap is pretty robust and lasts well and the battery lasts for years. Altogether an excellent value watch and I'll be buying another one in ten years or so.

I literally cannot say enough good things about this watch. Aside from it's obvious retro charm, it's slim, clean and feels almost weightless on my wrist. The strap was incredibly easy to adjust to size, it was straightforward and painless setting the time/date and alarm functions. The included instructions are clear and concise. There are no bells and whistles with this watch, it does exactly what it says on the tin! Overall, this watch is incredibly good value for money, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase!
Despite this being billed as a mens watch, as a woman I find it to be the perfect size and style for both. I think any gender and any age would be very satisfied with the look, feel and function.

Excellent quality value watch from casio. The stainless steel strap is nice and slimline and the links are very tight, which become ridged when closed around the rist.
The watch functions are the same as the original classic box standard 1980s models.
The case of the watch how ever is now made of resin, with a nice quality thick chromed finish. The resin case won't be as tougth as it's stainless steel 1980s classic, but then the resin case makes the watch feel a lot lighter round the rist.

Quality of the materials used not quite as good as my original 30 year old casio, but the again, i can't really complain at the price that it was! Strap easy to adjust,( no need for instructions as it's obvious). Overall i'd say it was a pretty good buy.

Exactly as expected. I have used this classic casio for years, but this time I bought the metal strap as the previous ones all had to be because the plastic strap broke.
Got a perfectly packaged Watch, and was pleasantly surprised by their unusual design. In real life they are much prettier than the photo. High-contrast display, simple operation. There are all the basic functions, a lithium battery for 7 years.
Added as an afterthought when ordering a Casio Wave Ceptor, this 'cheap and cheerful' watch turns out to be great - cheap, easy to read and to adjust, and perfect as an economical watch for someone like me who tends to treat them rather badly and destroy watches rather quickly! I was amazed that it arrived 8.30 Saturday morning having only ordered online at 3.00 the previous afternoon.

My latch watch was a black rubber 'Casio Illuminator'. This one is a whole step up.
It has the usual Casio features: time in 12/24 hrs, day, date, alarm, hour beep, stopwatch, light.
The best part is its strap. The rubber strap on my last watch was never quite the right size, stuck to my skin, not very secure and evetually broke.
This strap is metal, doesn't pinch and you can very easily slide the clasp along it to fit your wrist size!
Why buy any other when this has everything you need from a watch, a metal strap, a light that doesn't blind you in dark places, and all for under £20! Deal.

Definitely a Casio classic. Great for those of us who prefer the slim and uncluttered appearance and simple operation, rather than the over-large and complexity of many "modern" wathes. It replaces my similar appearance 1984 Casio SA-55, which is only just beginning to die after more than 25 years service. Here's hoping the 2011 model will be as long-lasting and reliable as its forerunner (which was even slimmer).

Very good, fits perfectly, in superb condition. Exactly what i wanted, extremely pleased with the product. It is silver with a black face with the digital clock on it, also has a light whcih has come in handy. It is easy to set up and set and change the time, date, day and alarms on it, ideal for me, plus it looks good too!

Great watch! I bought this because the picture reminded me of the first watch I bought in the eighties. This watch is slightly smaller than what expected, but not too small. It delivers on the nostalgia factor and is also retro-cool. The quality of the product is great - it looks and feels like a much more expensive watch. It is light and comfortable to wear. The size of the bracelet can be adjusted by yourself as you don't need to remove any links. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase.

A good tried and tested digital watch with a strong strap. Works well as a stopwatch as well. Display gives day, date as well as time.
This is mr third watch - the first was destroyed. The second failed recently - the mode switch gave up after 10 years.

The product is great. I'm very happy with it. The one thing I can say I wasn't too happy about was the delivery. I made sure I was home the whole day when the product was due to be delivered. When I checked my post in the evening I found a red card telling me I wasn't home to sign and had to fetch my watch from the post office in my area. It also had everything filled in but the time at which it was meant to be delivered, that I supposedly wasn't in to collect. I can only think the watch went straight to the office and not to my house. Other than that I was extremely happy with the service.
A basic watch from Casio with a stylish finish. This watch has the basic features of time / alarm / stop watch, but with the added style of a metal band. Its not too fancy, but its not meant to be.

Gave the casio watch to my husband today for his birthday. He was delighted with it - has had digital watches for ever and was very disappointed when his latest one gave up on him and the watch repairer said it was dead. Our local jeweller told me you couldn't get digital watches with metal straps!! Very good value and excellant service, ordered 10.30am Saturday - delivered 10.30am Monday.

A pity that Casio don't bother to explain how to adjust the length of the bracelet I had to search You Tube to see how it is done apart and also the bracelet could be a little more comfortable if the edges were rounded apart from that this is a good simple watch.
this watch is very basic. not the quality I expect from Casio but then very low cost. The watch functions as required but the back light is all but useless as it bright on one side and does not show the entire face. I ordered this as a basic watch with a metal strap as I do not like buckle type straps. I got what I paid for.

Replacement for same watch that has seen better days. Probably about 7 yrs old with the same battery and used in a workshop so has lots of abuse.

Simple to set, strap adjusts easily, looks fine.
I guess the watch is Ok at the price but the wrist band design is abyssmal, there being no instruction regarding adjustment and how to fit to wear.
Can't really get along with anologue watches anymore, so this fits the bill.
I like the slim case, the display, the alarm and the hourly chime.
The case is plastic, but at the price, you can't expect more.
The bracelet fastening is a bit of a fumble compared with the old Seiko style one piece bracelet.
If you prefer digital, but don't want to spend much, it's good value.

I bought it as replacement for a different model of Casio I'd had for about 7 years. The price was one attraction but having had it delivered I must say that it is an excellent watch - easy to read and set the various settings. After adjusting the bracelet very easily using my intuition I hardly know it's on my wrist.
I was given a Casio digital watch as a present about 20 years ago. It is still working well and the batteries last for years. The same model has been reissued as a Classic and so this was the only choice when I decided to buy a new watch. The two are pictured together.
What a service with me the next day. The watch is almost identical to one I previouly owned and does just what I wanted and at a lower price than other well known sources. It was cheaper to buy new than have the batery replaced in my old one. I have a great buy.
A very good watch for the price, has all the same features as some more expensive watches and has very nice styling. Not as nice as my Tissot V8 but has the same features I might use for £130 cheaper.
